Patience of Job

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope your weekend was filled with fun and some time to relax.  My sister's bachelorette party was a lot of fun!  I hope she had a great time!

Monday means there are new kits in the Elemental Scraps store.  Lucky Smith Designs has come out with a new kit called "Patience of Job".  With two little ones in the house, I'm sure I'll use this kit quite a bit.  The number of moments captured that show a need for patience is abundant!  Yet, the layout I did for the kit isn't about patience at all, so it's also very versatile.  This morning, Cocoa introduced me to her imaginary friend.  Check out the layout:

Here's the kit:

I'll be back later with a new "Muffin Tin Monday" lunch!

MTM and a New Release!

Big things are happening in our Muffin Tin World!  I have some fun ideas coming up before we start back with themes.  I ventured to World Market this weekend and found some great MTM stuff.  I think I'm going to hit the Columbus Asian Market at some point too so I can see what kind of goodies I can find!

Today, we did a literature theme.  My kids LOVE the book "King Bidgood's in the Bathtub" by Don and  Audrey Wood.  I am a HUGE fan of their books as well.  Here's what the kids had:

From top left, clockwise:
1. Open-faced cheese sandwich shaped like a "Rubber Ducky" (a duck isn't in the book, but what's a bath without a duck?)
2. King Bidgood in his bathtub (chocolate chip cookie cut into a man shape with homemade tapioca pudding bubbles).
3. Open faced cheese duck sandwich
4. "Canonball" watermelon ("Get out, it's time to battle!)
5. Goldfish crackers ("Get out, it's time to fish!)
6. The plug (glub, glub, glub) cucumber

In the book, the paige pulls out the plug at the very end of the story.
I tried to make the cucumber look like a plug. It must have been ok for Cocoa because she first pulled the plug out...

Before she could take out her cookie King Bidgood to eat him.
And then there's Bean... chomping away at his cheesy duck.

I also have a scrap page for you from the August Colorplay kit "Fond I Do" from Lucky Smith Designs at Elemental Scraps.  Here's the kit:

And there's wordart, and hangings, and other papers... so much this week!  Here's the page I created:

If all of my wedding photos weren't sitting in storage right now, I wouldn't leave this computer for a week! This kit is amazing!

"Greek to Me" New Lucky Smith Designs

Good Monday morning everyone!  I am resting and relaxing on the gorgeous sands of Topsail Island in North Carolina.  Go on, you can be jealous.  Apart from Bean deciding that sleep is not something he would like to have on this trip, everything is great!  I'll have some great pics/layouts in the near future of our time here.  Later today or tomorrow I'll have a super fun Muffin Tin lunch as well!

This morning, Lucky Smith Designs has a new kit out at Elemental Scraps called "Greek to Me".  This kit is so much fun.  If you've taken a trip to Greece, it would definitely be worth the purchase.  Sadly, I have not had the opportunity to visit Greece, but there is so much you can do with this kit regardless!  She has fun word art for "Herculean Task", "Achilles Heel", "Midas Touch" and "Siren Song".  Great possibilities. Check out the layout I did of Cocoa:

She really wanted to climb the rope ladder last summer, but just wasn't quite brave enough to get past the second step.  She's a pro now! :)

Here's the kit:

I can't wait to do something with that black and blue scalloped paper.  Aren't the colors fantastic?!?!  Hmmm... thinking a nice page of me holding one of my favorite things... I glass of wine!  Perhaps I should start research for that now.  I'M ON VACATION!!!!

Just a little layout...

I took a break from all the cleaning and made a layout.  The kit comes from Lucky Smith Designs (the new creative team I'm on) and can be found at Elemental Scraps.  It's called "Licensed to Drive", and I also used the "Galactic Blast" alphabet (blue one).  I also used the Galactic Blast kit to make an "Out of this World" father's day card and gift certificate, but I forgot to save it once I printed it! Believe me, it was cute!

And now I'm paying for the cleaning break.  The realtor is coming tonight, and I'm not the least bit ready!  Better get off the computer!

New Creative Team and a Blog Train Ad!

Happy Monday everyone!  I've been so busy packing things up for storage and cleaning our house so we can put it on the market.  I've not had time for ANYTHING... seriously.  I feel somewhat lost without being able to scrap and participate in forums!

Anyway, I do have some exciting news that I received last week and have been unable to share due to my schedule.  I've been accepted onto the creative team for Lucky Smith Designs.  Lucky sells at Elemental Scraps and has some FABULOUS kits.  As luck would have it, Elemental Scraps is hosting a blog train right now with freebies from their designers.  That's right... FREEBIES!!!  If you've never participated in a blog train, all you do is follow the links and download free stuff from the various blogs. Here is what Lucky is giving out....

Super cute!  Here is the layout I came up with for it...

This photo was taken at Topsail Island, and we'll be traveling there again in a few short weeks!  I can't wait for this break!

In addition to the blog train, Lucky has her entire store at Elemental Scraps on sale for 35% off!  CHECK IT OUT!!!

Now, I must take my ride on the blog train! Have a great day!
