Growing

Happy Labor Day!  In a few short hours we will have about 20 of Mr. Pepper's office staff over for a fun-filled day of boating and swimming on the lake.  What? It's only going to be 70 degrees today?  Mrs. Pepper didn't really sleep last night and has been up since 4?  Super.

Last week I was fortunate to win the digital kit "Before My Eyes" from Scrap Originals.  Below is a preview of the kit and what I did with it.

For Erica's "From Paper to Digital" challenge at Two Peas in a Bucket.

Thanks Pam for your generosity!  This is a seriously lovely kit!

30

Tuesday!  That means new digi goodies in the store at Two Peas in a BucketKerry Stewart has come out with a new set of clipping masks called "Sum Total".  They are AWESOME!  I can see myself using these over and over.  Here's what I did with it so far, and there's more to come, I'm sure!

I used Kerry's new clipping masks along with her "M is for Monogram" alphabet and Scrap Originals "Pause" kit (I'm guesting with Pam for the month of September).    Below is a preview of the "Sum Total" clipping masks

Head over to Two Peas and check out all of the amazing goodies in the store today!

Creative Team Layouts and Exciting News

It's been a busy week with all of the new goodies popping up in digistores!  On Tuesday, Scrap  Originals released "Pause".  I'm guesting with them for September, and here is the second layout I created with the "Pause" kit:

Also released on Wednesday were the goodies at Owl Tree Studio.  Another kit that is included in the September Membership package is "The Lighter Side" from Studio Vivarant (Veronica Spriggs).  I used one of her templates and "The Lighter Side" kit to create this layout:

And finally, some excitement!  Erica over at Two Peas in a Bucket is choosing a layout every day and posting it on the digi designers blog as the "Today I Like" layout.  One of my layouts was chosen on Monday as the layout she liked!  Here it is:

One of my friend's from high school (who helped me get started in all of this digi scrapping madness) had her layout spotlighted by a creative team member the very next day.  Here is her rockin' layout:

Pause

Tuesday means new digikits in the store at Two Peas in a Bucket.  I'm honored to be guesting this month for Scrap Originals (visit Pam's blog here).  I had described Scrap Originals designs as "refreshing" in an earlier post.  There's something about the design, colors, and elements when combined... love Pam's designs.

Anywho, Pam of Scrap Originals has a new kit out today called "Pause".   I was so excited when I was browsing through the elements after I downloaded the kit. I love the pause, rewind, fast forward buttons in this kit and the colors are gorgeous!  Here's the kit preview:

Here's the page I created with a picture I took at my sister's wedding this past weekend: Pause

Scrap Originals Winner and layout!

Have you ever finished a post to go back to it later to edit and then it gets deleted?!?!?  Then you understand my frustration!  This post had been typed once before...

Anyway...  A few weeks ago Pamela Funk-Parr, designer of Scrap Originals, posted a free kit called "Ocean Breeze" in the store at Two Peas in a Bucket.  She encouraged anyone who designed a layout with it to link it back to her Scrap Originals Blog for a chance to win a new kit that was coming out.  Well, she emailed me this weekend, and I won (along with a friend of mine) her new "Everyday" kit.  It came out in the store at Two Peas yesterday and it is B E A U T I F U L!!!!  I was so excited to use it that I volunteered to stay up at the house while Bean napped when everyone else was down at the dock listening to the Buffett coverband (I only missed an hour of the band though).

The layout I submitted was "Balancing Act" and I also used it for "Stomach Sleeper", which I posted yesterday from the "Digital Pea in the Spotlight" layout.  Below you'll find a picture of the kit "Everyday", as well as the layout I scrapped with it.  This is one of my favorites thus far!

I've been seeing a lot of layouts in the Two Peas Gallery where they've extracted part of a photo and then used it as an overlay on the background.  I thought this photo was perfect for trying that technique out!  Thanks Pamela!  This kit is gorgeous!  If you haven't checked out some of the great kits from Scrap Originals, I really encourage you to take a look.  The word that comes to mind when I think of Pamela's kits is "refreshing".  I just have a feeling of wide open spaces and a clean scrapping page when I see them.
