4th of July Muffin Tin Monday
Today's Muffin Tin Monday meal was fun to make! Being the Fourth of July weekend, we went with that theme. I found these great hot dog holders and cupcake liners in the dollar bins at JoAnn Fabrics:
SO CUTE!!! I turned the liners inside out so that you could see the stars and used the hot dog holders as the muffin tins! Here's what the kids ate:
The top picture is Cocoa's and consists of (going down the left side, then the right...) Red, White and Blue cupcake; Amish Baby Swiss cheese; strawberries and blueberries with whipped cream; blue finger jello star; milk; blue finger jello star; ketchup; naked chicken fingers. Bean's is a watered down version, with some graham crackers to go along. Of course, he played in his more than he ate the food. But Cocoa had just come in from tubing on the lake, and she was hungry!

Can't get enough...
Had to make another layout with Britt-ish Designs new "Made in America", available at ScrapMatters. This one is for Bean's book: Born in the USA (click for full credits).
The photos actually weren't taken on the Fourth of July. Last year at this time, Bean was admitted to Columbus' Nationwide Children's Hospital for two days due to a viral infection. He had to have a spinal tap done and would scream his head off any time you moved him. The doctor's couldn't figure out what was wrong, and the infection ran it's course. A week later, Mr. Pepper came down with a virus that attacked his muscles. He couldn't even open the dryer door or open the lid of a pop, he was so weak and it hurt him too much! We think that's what Bean had. Luckily, everything turned out alright! Hoping this July 4th is much more calm and fun for all of us! Happy Fourth of July weekend! Please everyone be safe!

"Lift This" challenge
Happy Hump Day! I don't know about you all reading (yes, that's you my 8 followers... thanks!), but I am very impatient for this holiday weekend to begin! The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays (if my husband and I didn't get married at Christmas, we were getting married around the 4th) and I can't wait to see my sister-in-law and her fiance, who are coming in from Arizona. Lots of fun things to come, not to mention celebrating the amazing freedom we are all so fortunate to have!
Another "Lift This" challenge was posted, I have created a layout to play! Here is the layout to lift: "Ellie" by Dina Wakley. Below it is my lift: "This Face" (click on link for full credits).
Perhaps the picture isn't as sweet and sentimental, but I had to create something for this photo! Cracks me up! Dina's layout is a paper one, and she does such interesting things with ink! I wasn't quite sure how to do it digital, so I'm going to have to look into it.
A few weeks ago I submitted "Duck Pond" for a Lift This challenge. I've now added to it and made it a two page layout. There were so many pictures from that time that I wanted to use. Here is the original page of Bean, and then the page I created to go with it. The final photo is the two page layout for Cocoa's book.
That's all for now. I've neglected my housekeeping duties, which is really bad when trying to sell your house! I've got some tidying to do. When I'm done, I hope to create more!
