Asian Inspired MTM

Happy Monday!  Last week I stopped by World Market and picked up some fun "kid friendly" chopsticks.  This inspired an Asian themed Muffin Tin Monday... or as Asian as I could make it.  I think you'll like what was on tap for dessert!

A: Sugar Snap Peas
B: White rice with butter
C: Mandarin Oranges
D: Ham and cheese tortilla (yeah, I know.  I was going for an egg roll look.  Pushing it?)
E: Ramen noodles

So, maybe the lunch didn't have a great Asian themed success, but check out dessert!
Rice Krispie sushi!  I wrapped gummy worms in rice krispie treats and the put green Shrek fruit roll-ups around it.  The ginger is made out of cut up gummy worms and the soy sauce is chocolate sauce.  There's the kid friendly chopsticks too (which are pretty slippery and Cocoa had a hard time using them.  I wish I had found some with a kind of teeth griper at the bottom). If you're interested in the tutorial on how to make the sushi, I found it here. And now for a picture of Cocoa enjoying the sushi, but not really using the chop sticks!

Happy Muffin Tin Monday!

The sushi looks wonderful. What a great idea. My son loves his chopsticks. At two he hasn't mastered them yet. He has fun trying.
